Brick Pressure Washing by Action {BEFORE/AFTER PICS}
Customer requested a quote on the cleaning of the brick work of his property.
With the brick’s condition deteriorating over the years, algae was changing the brick color from a vibrant red, to dark green and in some areas black. The customer had doubts that the brick could even be cleaned, or it was time to replace the brick.
After a 20 minute demonstration with our pressure washing system, he agreed to move forward with a complete cleaning of his brick rear patio, planters, steps, and walkways in the rear of his property.

Mission: Redwood Restoration {BEFORE/AFTER PICS}
The mission request:
Customer (located in Orinda, CA) requested service of complete restoration of redwood deck, benches, rail systems with prior stain which was Cabot SPF 48 Sunray.
Problem areas with deck:
- The stain product was breaking down in the areas of direct sunlight, and splash zone from pool area.
- The other areas that did not get sun had heavy green algae starting to grow on the wood surface, making the areas slippery when wet.
Action Pressure Washing treated the deck with deck brightener, then sanded the deck in areas that showed traffic and wear. All hand rails and spindles were treated with deck brightener, and then pressure washing was completed on all wood surfaces.
Two coats of Cabot Sun-Ray SPF 48 was applied to all wood surfaces.
An Obstacle:
This project was complicated by the weather not getting above 70 degrees which makes it difficult for the stain to dry properly.
The Solution:
Commercial fans were brought in to speed up the drying process.
The end result:
Customer stated, “It looks better than it did when the deck was first built!”
Mission Accomplished !

Concrete Sealers: How to Know Which One Works Best for You.
Concrete Sealers: Tips for Best Practices and Benefits.
Concrete Sealers provide a high level of protection for sidewalks, walkways, and other handy work. With the proper deployment of sealers, you can extend the surface life and improve the appearance of the concrete while benefiting from significant savings on long-term care and repair costs.
The library of sealer types is amazingly diverse. Common types of sealers include acrylic, Polyurethane, epoxy, and penetrating sealers. There is no one “best” sealer – only the best for your specific job. For instance, you might want to use a penetrating sealer, such as a silicate or siloxane, to protect against freeze thaw damage and create “invisible protection” against the elements.
Meanwhile, epoxies might be best for high-traffic floors and anywhere else where you need a tough, abrasion-resistant finish. On the other hand, epoxies may yellow over time due to sun exposure, so they are better suited for indoor use and interior surfaces. Continue reading
